If you order a frame from us, the frame size will always relate to the internal size of the frame from the back.
It NEVER relates to the visible area from the front of the frame and it NEVER relates to the external size of the frame.
The lip/rebate of the frame will always overlap the glazing and artwork by a few millimetres all round to ensure it doesn't fall out.

I am buying a Picture Frame only....

Measure the physical size of your artwork from outer edge to outer edge, including any white border or existing mount you want to see, for both the width and the height. You would enter those measurements into our custom picture framer application.

We would manufacture your frame so your artwork(including any mount/white border you have included in the measurements) will fit into the opening at the back of the frame.

So if your artwork measures 320 X 470mm, you would enter 320 X 470mm as your frame size - Easy!

I am buying a Picture Frame & Mount...

Measure the exact image size of your artwork from outer edge to outer edge. If your artwork has an existing border that you want to see you would include these in your measurements. If your artwork includes a border that you do not want to see you would not include these in your measurements. The size that your enter will relate to the actual opening size in the middle of the mount.
We will make a small 2mm adjustment to each mount width to ensure the artwork doesn't fall through the middle of the mount aperture.

So if you artwork measures 250 X 190mm, you would enter 250 X 190mm in the size fields. We would manufacture the mount so the actual aperture would be 246 X 186.

The frame size will be calculated by our software and depends on how wide you set the mount widths to be.

Picture Mount Only

If you are purchasing a mount to fit an frame brought elsewhere you need to know the internal frame size(the opening at the back of the frame) as well as the size of your artwork.

Simply enter the exact sizes of your artwork into the size fields on our website. You then have the option to enter the width for each side of the mount, top, bottom, left and right. You will need to calculate manually how wide the mounts need to be to fit your frame opening size.

Please ensure the "External Mount Size" measurements on your order review match the actual opening size of your own frame from the back.

Replacing an old frame

We strongly recommend you remove the artwork from the existing frame before attempting to measure the item. However if this is not possible please remember to measure the opening of the current frame from the back. Do not measure the visible area from the front or the external size of the frame as any replacement frame would not fit.

You should measure the exact external size of the existing backing board or glazing and enter those sizes into our website.

Important Tips & Information

• The lip/rebate of the frame will overlap your artwork by a few millimetres all round. This means that the actual visible area from the front of the frame will be smaller than the opening of the frame at the back. The amount of overlap varies from moulding to moulding.

• We will manufacture your picture frame to be between 1-2mm larger than the sizes quoted on your order confirmation. This allowance ensures the backing and glazing can be removed when fitting your artwork.

• We recommend that the back of the frame is taped up to add a professional finish and additional security.

Standard next day delivery charged at £5.95 exc VAT for all orders below £50.00 net(£60.00 inc VAT). All orders over £50.00 net(£60.00 inc VAT) will be delivered free of charge. The standard next day delivery service is fulfilled Monday - Friday between 7am - 6pm.

Saturday delivery is available as an optional upgrade to Zone 1 addresses and starts from £23.95 exc VAT - see Terms below.

UK - Zone 2 -Remote Scotland, UK Isles, Northern Ireland

Delivery charges for the postal regions detailed below start from £15.95 exc VAT for orders upto £150 net. Higher charges are applied to these postal areas by the courier due to their locations. Transit times range from 1-2 days.

Free Collection Option

You are welcome to collect any picture frames, mounts and canvas pictures from either our Bedford picture framing factory or our Kettering picture framing retail store. There is no charge for collecting items from us.

Priority Service

Our priority service option will show as an upgrade for any deliveries with a delivery postcode in Zone 1. Selecting this option will mean your order will be dispatched the next working day, or the same working day if placed before 7am. Priority service upgrades are charged at £24.95 exc VAT for orders under £50.00, and at a subsidised price of £19.95 exc VAT for orders over £50.00. Our priority service is only available for orders upto £250.00 net.
The priority service is available for around 90% of our products. However on occassions the priority service may not be available. If this is the case we will contact you as soon as possible to find an alternative solution.
The only reason we will be able to refund the priority service charge after an order has been placed is if the order is not delivered due to an error we are responsible for. We will not be able to refund these charges if you are not available when the courier attempts delivery.

British Forces Post Office Addresses

Unfortunately we are unable to send parcels to BFPO addresses via our usual courier service and so orders with a BFPO delivery address are restricted on our website. If the item you are ordering is smaller than 500 X 400mm we may be able to send via Royal Mail BFPO service. Please contact us with your order details for further information and prices.

We are currently trailing deliveries to Europe. Due to size limitations imposed by our couriers, we have restricted the maximum frame size that can be ordered for delivery into Europe to 915 X 610mm.

Europe - Zone 1 - Republic of Ireland, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Monaco

Delivery charges start from £15.95 exc VAT for orders upto £150.00 net. Transit times range from 2-3 days.

Europe - Zone 2 - Denmark, Austria

Delivery charges start from £20.95 exc VAT for orders upto £150.00 net. Transit times range from 2-4 days.

Europe - Zone 3 - Spain, Italy, Czech Republic

Delivery charges start from £23.95 exc VAT for orders upto £150.00 net. Transit times range from 3-5 days.

Europe - Zone 4 - Portugal

Delivery charges start from £35.95 exc VAT for orders upto £150.00 net. Transit times range from 4-6 days.

• Our 3 full working days dispatch guarantee relates to the day that we will dispatch the goods from our factory. We do not guarantee the actual delivery date as circumstances beyond our control can have an effect. Excludes orders taken over the Christmas/New Year shutdown which will take a few extra days to dispatch.

• If you opt for a Saturday Delivery, the dispatch of your order may be delayed. Orders placed on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday may not be dispatched until the following Saturday as we may require upto 3 working days to manufacture your goods.

• We are not responsible or liable for any costs incurred due to a late or failed delivery.

• The delivery charges are for two attempts to the delivery address supplied at the time of order. Further charges will apply if your goods are returned to us following two failed delivery attempts.

• Further charges will apply if you want to change the delivery address after we have assigned the courier.

• Further charges may apply if you have supplied an incorrect or incomplete postal address.

• Transit times are from the time your goods have been dispatched.

Wooden Picture Frames

Wooden/Polcore picture frames supplied by EzeFrame.co.uk are supplied complete. By default all frames are supplied with 2mm Crystal Clear Acrylic Glazing(Acryglas XT). During the ordering process you will have the option to upgrade or downgrade the glazing if required. All frames are supplied with 2.5mm MDF backing board and suitable hanging fixtures for the back of the frame. Depending on the frame size and style, the hanging fixtures vary from clips which slide over the backing to double D Rings that will need to be screwed into the back of the frame. Enough Polycord will be supplied for the frame to be hung in either orientation, Landscape or Portrait. We do not include any fixtures for your wall as these will depend on the type of wall.

Aluminium Picture Frames

Aluminium picture frames supplied by EzeFrame.co.uk are supplied complete and ready assembled. To gain access to the inside of the frame, you will need to remove as least one length of the moulding by slackening off a minimum of two screws. The hanging assembly supplied with aluminium frames clip into the moulding and are secured by tightening a small screw. The hanging assembly, including Polycord, will enable the frame to be hung in either orientation, Landscape or Portrait. We do not include any fixtures for your wall as these will depend on the material that the wall is made from. As with wood picture frames, aluminium frames are supplied by default with clear acrylic glazing but other options are available during the ordering process.

Ready Made Photo Frames

Ready Made Photo Frames supplied by EzeFrame.co.uk are supplied complete. By default all frames are supplied with 1.2mm Artscreen(PolyStyrene) Glazing, 2.5mm MDF backing board and suitable hanging fixtures for the back of the frame. In addition, frames upto 12 X 10"/305 X 254mm will be supplied with a strut back that will enable the frame to stand up.

Swept Picture Frames

Swept picture frames supplied by EzeFrame.co.uk are supplied complete and ready assembled. The hanging assembly, including Polycord, will enable the frame to be hung in either orientation, Landscape or Portrait. We do not include any fixtures for your wall as these will depend on the material that the wall is made from. Unlike wood picture frames, swept frames are supplied by default without glazing or backing. To include arylic glazing and MDF backing with the frame you will to select the correct option..

Digital Print and Frame

Our complete print and frame service gives you the opportunity to purchase a professionally frame picture. After printing your image, your framed picture will be supplied fully fitted, taped up at the back and with the hanging fixtures already installed. All you will need to have at home is a suitable hook and nail in the waill.

Custom Picture Mounts

All picture mounts are supplied without any additional parts, except the packaging they are in. During the ordering process you may add additional items such as Conservation Barrier Board or Self Adhesive Board. If you have ordered a mount as part of a picture frame it will be packaged inside the frame.

Canvas Pictures

All canvas picture are supplied "Ready To Hang". The hanging cord will already be attached to the stretcher bar assembly, so all you will need to do is hang the canvas over a hook & and nail in your wall. Canvas pictures are usually supplied shrink wrapped to prevent any damage during transportation.
